We’re passionate about pets! Amanda, the owner, and several staff members foster dogs. We also have fundraisers every month and have a claw machine in the store that is filled with toys, treats, & various items where we pick a different pet charity for the money to go to. In addition to that, on the 3rd weekend of every month, it is our Clean for a Cause Weekend. $5 from every self-serve dog wash goes to the charity. We often hold food drives for different rescues as well. On the 2nd Saturday of every month, we host pet adoptions at the store with Heritage Humane Society.

POV: You walked in for treats and somehow ended up as Employee of the Month. 😂🐾
No experience. No references. Can’t answer the phone. Easily distracted by snacks.
But with a face like THAT? Hired immediately. 💙🐶
10/10 good boy. Terrible work ethic. Would hire again.

🐾 THANK YOU, WILLIAMSBURG! 🐾
We want to give a HUGE thank you to everyone who came out and shopped with us during Neighborhood Pet Store Weekend! ❤️
Every purchase you make with us helps support Williamsburg’s only locally/family-owned pet store, and we truly can’t thank our amazing community enough for continuing to shop small and support local! 🐶🐱
An extra special THANK YOU to everyone who purchased raffle tickets to benefit Heritage Humane Society. Because of YOU, we were able to raise OVER $1,000 to help support the animals in their care! 🎉🐾
And of course, congratulations to our raffle winners! 🎟️🏆
Whether you shopped, bought raffle tickets, or did both, THANK YOU for making the weekend such a success and for supporting two local organizations that care so much about the pets in our community. ❤️

🎃👻 OCTOBER REWARD ALERT! 👻🎃
We’re SO excited about this month’s Reward because… IT’S TOYS! 🧸🐾
We don’t get to see toys as a monthly Reward very often, so October is extra fun! This month, your pup can get their paws on one of these adorable Halloween toys just in time for spooky season! 🦇🎃👻
🐾 How our Rewards work:
Every time you shop with us, you earn points! Once you reach 500 points, you can redeem them for a monthly Reward. You can redeem up to 1,000 points per month — that means TWO rewards each month! 🙌
And for October, that means you could take home two spooky Halloween toys! 🎃🧸

🎉 ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL ADOPTION THROUGH THE NAUTICAL DOG! 🐾❤️
Sweet Bitsy, with Homes Fur Hounds, Inc., has officially found her forever home! 🏡🐶
A huge part of making these happy endings possible is Bitsy’s amazing foster mom, Gina, who gives these dogs the love, care, and time they need while they wait for their perfect families. ❤️
These dogs are so lucky to be able to spend time here at The Nautical Dog, they come to work daily where they get extra exposure to the public, meet our wonderful customers, and show off their personalities. We’ve been so happy to see how many of these pups have ended up finding incredible homes through people they’ve met right here in our store!
